The title says it all: What are your favorite stock wheels?
My pick comes from the Nissan R33 GTR, quite possibly the one redeeming factor of the R33, the wheels look like they very well could have been made by a tuner. They also only weigh around 18.5LBs if I'm not mistaken, so not too heavy.
What's your pick?

Volvo S60R/V70R.

I think BMW has always had great stock wheel options. My favourites would be M-Parallels, Throwing Stars or e39 M5 wheels.

I've always like this wheel, On the C6 Z06 Carbon black limited

Option BBS wheels for the WRX. That's a factory option, not sure if it counts as stock.

Those first ones are a lot like the R33 wheels I pictured. Those are cool! They have a bit of lip, I dig em.

Cromodora Daytonas. I saw a set on a 240Z once and needed about ten minutes to myself...

288 GTO
Wish I could post a picture...but I can't. Not aggravated at all. Definitely not throwing anything. You guys can't see me.

My bugeye came with 16" WRX factory alloys, I don't know if BBS were an option for the USDM market, as we didn't get the STI.

The McMerc Wheels are stunning in Real life, and I've always loved the idea of a turbine wheel.

You're right, they are better in person, still not my thing, but better.

Feels like these were on so many Ferrari's. Why change these out!?

I didn't really care for the whole car until I sat in it. The devil in the details.

Having just watched the guys at Option Auto open the taps on the 991 GT3, including a POV experience, I must nominate the concave rear wheels of Porsche's newest GT car. It just works on so many levels.

The throwing stars on the E34 M5... amazing .

On the topic of turbine wheels, the Jay Leno Ecojet has the best wheels ever. Though not strictly stock

Volvo Mirzam

Err .... I'll probably get flak for this but I really like the staggered rims on my Crossfire. (the only straight side shot I have)
But favorite goes to Audi's RS rims, simple and have a really nice offset.

The HHR/Cobalt/Malibu stock ''trick wheels''...
that are actually steelies in disguise.
And yes, if you hadn't noticed, I kind of have a thing for steelies. :D

I don't know if I would call them my favorites, but I have always been rather fond of bundts.

I like the Exige wheels from 2006-2010

Also, sort of stock, Forester wheels on a BRZ. Damn they look good!

Mine would have to be a tie between the Dodge Viper RT/10...

3-way tie
Ferrari 430 Scuderia wheels, especially if painted a darker grey.
VW GTI wheels, that I don't think they do anymore
And these of course.

Also These. (I wish these were on my soul, but mine is not a top grade model.)

I agree, especially on the E39 ones. Also anything that ever went on the E46 M3.

My underdog vote: The late 80s Pontiac Trans Am had some pretty cool rims. Especially considering the time period. The GNX had similar wheels and they looked great there too.

I am partial to the 12-13 300S rims. For some reason they just say class, but sport at the same time to me.
![]() 10/09/2013 at 17:12 |

if memory serves that option was 2700$$ that why most did not get it
as other brands where available allot cheaper —and with the upgrade all you got was 2700 rims wrapped in CRAP 92 e's

I'll stretch the definition of "wheels" since the painted hubcaps on classic Mercedes-Benzes such as this W113 are my favorite. There's something about the simplicity and color-coding that's really neat.

I love stock wheels! Lots of my favorites are already posted, so here are a few more. Hopefully I didn't get too carried away...
I guess I really like spokes...

May I add to your list? BMW has the best wheels, IMO

It is hard to beat the 3G TL-S's wheels.

Damni, I hate Kinja. But the 3G TL-S's wheels are pretty damn good.

I do feel BMW has the best looking OEM wheels overall though.

Of-course. How could I forget the Style 5?
I even have one sitting at home. I was going to make something out of it but never got around to it. I'll still make a profit if I sell it but I should really turn it into a night table.

Duh. Also dig the ones from the Diablo with the holes in 'em and the knockoffs from the gt500

I always loved the Infiniti F35 rims. They look like turbines and when put in this grey (also stock) it looks really cool.

I always wanted these for my Passat when I had it. They were the optional wheels for the VW Phaeton.

Beautiful wheels, look perfect on 70s and early 80s Benzes...but are a ROYAL pain in the ass to keep clean. Massive pain in the ass.

I've always been partial to the stock 18's on my marauder. Its kind of one of the defining factors of the entire car

Awesome, I guess I just haven't seen them on a new one recently.

Factory option Magnesium wheels on the C5 Corvette. the spokes are a bit thicker than the normal wheels on the C5 and straighter as well.

I'm with you. If they did it in 4X100, it would have been on the Miata already!

Peugeot GTI wheels, pictured on a gorgeous 309 GTI 16 (those wheels were also standard on the 205 GTI).
